We’ve loved getting to know the guys from Hermit Thrush, and have been featuring one of their beers on tap for the last few months. We’ve finally paired up to do a full-on dinner featuring some of the brews (now available in cans!) and hope you’ll be able to join us.
Beer Tasting dinner
featuring Hermit Thrush Brewery
Monday, August 10th at 6pm
$50 per seat, excluding tax and gratuity
For starters, we’ll meet on the deck (weather permitting) for:
Home-made Pretzels and a Selection of Local Cheeses
paired with Hoppy Smalls
a limited release saison-style ‘small beer’ (2.9%) highlighting hops all grown less than 20 miles away from the brewery
Then move inside for the main menu:
Poutine with Wild Mushroom Beer Gravy
paired with Brooks Brown
a malty, yet light session ale
Cheddar Ale Soup, made with Brattlebeer
paired with Brattlebeer
a delicate pale ale that is fermented spontaneously with a blend of local apple cider, malt, and hops.
Home-made Bratwurst, Steamed with Beer
paired with Silly Friar
a Trappist inspired single Belgian ale
Beer Sorbet Float
paired with Party Guy
a beer inspired by the Parti-gyle style of brewing where the mash from a strong beer is used to make the wort for a lower-alcohol small beer.

No reservations taken, just come and enjoy! We’ve added several more small tables, all the better for stopping in with a friend for a cold drink on a beautiful day. And there’s a tent for shade/moderate weather protection. Come on by!
Menu is up here.
Come on over and enjoy. From 5:30 pm every night we are open…. lunch starts the first week of June, 11:30-3pm Weds-Saturday.
Can’t wait to see you!
(We’ll be discontinuing the Sunday Bistro Menu until Fall… But we will serve the deck menu outside every night, and inside at the bar on Sunday only. Thanks for all the Sunday Bistro LOVE, and it will be back for the Winter!)
If you’ve passed by Elliot Street lately, I’m sure you’ve seen our beautiful patio tables and chairs out there! This weekend (May 15-17) we are open for cocktails and appetizers, but with some cooperation from Mother Nature and a few final logistics, we hope to be serving out new-and-improved Deck Menu, complete with Sangria, expanded draft beer, and wine specials geared for optimum outdoor enjoyment! And following that, lunch all summer Weds-Saturday. Watch this space for menu details and official opening date.
Join us on Tuesday, May 12th at 6 pm for an intimate 4 course dinner with Bill Sweat, co-founder of Winderlea Vineyard and Winery. We look forward to pairing 4 of Winderlea’s boutique wines (three different Pinot Noirs and one Chardonnay) with some of Zach’s finest cooking. Inspired by the lively palate of flavors in these wines, as well as Winderlea’s commitment to sustainability, the menu will include an excitingly spiced duo of fish tartare, house smoked Long Island duck breast with local bitter greens and pomegranate reduction, and locally raised emu with a maple glaze. We’re hoping for some foraged ramps, too!
Bill can talk us through the not-so subtle differences between some of the winery’s single vineyard bottlings, as well as tell us about the process of becoming the 2nd winery in Oregon (and the 4th globally) to be certified as a B Corp. Come be inspired by his story and enjoy a great meal with friends!
We’re initially limiting the dinner to 15 so it can be an intimate group (although given enough people on the wait list we will consider expanding….). These are expensive wines, so at $80 per person (excluding tax and gratuity) it’s a bargain.
Call (802)257-33 or email (firstname.lastname@example.org) for reservations soon!
We’re back from vacation with new art up by our friend E. Joseph McCarthy. It gives the dining room a nice airy look for spring and summer! Come see it (and see more of Joe’s work at his web site, www.ejosephmccarthy.com). We’ve made a few changes to the menu to welcome spring (hello, tuna tartare!) and are looking forward to opening some bottles of rosé to go with it. Stop by soon!
We will be closed for vacation (and some renovations) from April 5th (Easter Sunday) through the following Sunday, April 12. We re-open on Wednesday April 15th. Get your fix in now or plan to join us after the break!
Join us at Peter Havens on Monday, March 30th to welcome Kevin McKenna, partner in Louis/Dressner selections and a fount of knowledge on all things Natural Wine (and delicious) in Italy. We’ll pour an eclectic and sometimes surprising mix of wines, paired with house-made charcuterie, home made pasta, and more!
$75 for 6 courses and wines (tax and gratuity additional)
Saetti Lambrusco with Coppa and Parmigiano to nibble
Dora Fosoni’s Poderi Sanguineto Bianco, with house made agnolotti filled with spinach and ricotta
La Stoppa Trebbiolo Rosso Frizzante with arugula salad topped with pecorino
L’Acino Chora Rosso (a new favorite here at the restaurant!) with octopus ragout
Montescondo Rosso Toscana with local rabbit loin in a porcini cream sauce
La Stoppa Dolce Frizzante with biscuit tortoni (a ‘lost dessert’ we are reviving!)
Call for a reservation or email to email@example.com — only 2 seats remain as of March 25th!
During the Winter we’ll be offering a special Bistro Menu in addition to our regular menu, on Sundays only! Come join us at the bar, or at a table, and enjoy a casual and relaxing Sunday. From 5:30 pm, and call ahead to ensure your seat is available!
Looking to linger over a nice quiet dinner, or just grab a quick drink and appetizer at the bar to refresh you before another busy week begins? We’ll be open Sunday throughout the winter this year. Come for a warm welcome and a delicious bite, serving from 5:30 pm on Sundays.
